Our workshop

Trælinie Snedkeri operates from Nørrebrogade in Copenhagen N. We are a small team of cabinetmakers and designers who work exclusively on bespoke furniture — fitted wardrobes, dining tables, window benches, and desks — for homes across the capital region.

Every piece starts with a visit to your apartment. We take precise measurements, note structural details like sloping ceilings and radiator positions, and discuss how you use the room day to day. That understanding shapes the design before a single board is cut.

Why custom furniture

Standard furniture rarely fits Copenhagen apartments well. Alcoves go unused, dining tables block walkways, and off-the-shelf wardrobes leave gaps that collect dust. Custom furniture solves these problems by using the exact dimensions of your space.

  • Designed around alcoves, bay windows, and sloping ceilings
  • Solid wood and quality hardware built to last decades
  • Finishes chosen to complement existing floors and walls
  • Delivered and installed by the team that built it

Materials and craftsmanship

We work primarily with oak, ash, and birch plywood, sourced from European suppliers. Joinery is traditional where it adds strength — mortise and tenon for table legs, dados for shelving — combined with modern hardware like Blum soft-close hinges and drawer runners.

Each project is finished by hand: sanding, oiling, or lacquering depending on the wood and the room's use. We do not outsource production. Everything is built and finished in our Copenhagen workshop.
